Studies verify that well-designed landscaping can add thousands of dollars to the value of a home. Rick Witeka has been in the real estate business for 21 years and has sold hundreds of homes. He will discuss how landscape “curb appeal” can bring in perspective buyers and enhance not only the beauty of your home for your own satisfaction, but improve your chances of a successful sale when the time comes to sell.
Homeowners are becoming more conscience of the outdoor living area as an extension of their home’s environment and living space. Landscape Architect Jerany Jackson (photo, left) will discuss the horticultural elements of this “outdoor room” and how to make them appealing for family and friends to frequent.
Most homeowners have some areas of their landscapes that are abundant with shade. The challenges associated with shade can be minimized with proper plant selection and techniques that make shady areas an integral part of the home landscape. Master Gardeners Ernie and Mary Lou Braswell have developed their home landscape into a sanctuary of plants that thrive in shade. Over the past 17 years they have successfully transformed their shady landscape and a spring nearby into a park-like atmosphere called “Garrison Spring and Gardens” that is open for the general public to use.

The Hughes Brothers are not the typical vocal group. Their powerful masculine voices have the ability to stun you to the core and send shivers up your spine. It’s no wonder they were voted Best Vocal Group and received the “Branson Tradition Award”!
Elected in April 2007, Raeanne Presley is serving her first term as Branson's mayor. She is co-owner of Presley's Country Jubilee Theater, which was the first music theater to open on the world famous Highway 76 "strip".
Ms. Presley has over 30 years experience in the travel industry and is the immediate past chairman of the Missouri Tourism Commission. She is active in the Branson community having served on the Branson Board of Aldermen, on the Skaggs Community Health Center Board of Directors, the Springfield/Branson Airport Board and numerous other civic boards.
She and her husband Steve have three children who work and perform at the Presley theater.
Gaylord Moore knows plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and lawns. And, most Ozarkers feel like they know Gaylord Moore. Since 1979, Moore has been working with University of Missouri Extension as a horticulture specialist (19 years in Greene County). In a part of the country that is crazy about flowers, plants and gardening, Moore has become well known. During his tenure with MU Extension, Moore has literally answered thousands of questions from novice and professional gardeners. He has written thousands of newspaper articles and columns on gardening and lawn topics, helped to train Master Gardeners, and he has given gardening advice on KOLR-TV10 (Springfield, MO CBS affiliate) every week since 1989.
